Privacy Policy

The short version

        DeRot does not collect personal information about you. Your app selections, settings, and breathing history stay entirely on your device. The one exception: when you subscribe to DeRot Pro, our subscription provider (RevenueCat) receives anonymous purchase information so we can verify your subscription. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no way to identify you personally.
      

Information we collect

DeRot itself collects nothing. The app operates entirely on-device, with one exception for subscription handling (see below).

App preferences and settings are stored locally using iOS UserDefaults and never leave your device.
Blocked app selections are stored locally on your device only, as private Screen Time tokens. DeRot can't see which apps they stand for.
Breathing session activity is not recorded or stored anywhere.

Push notifications

If you enable after-scroll reminders, DeRot schedules local notifications on your device using iOS's built-in notification system. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device. No notification content is transmitted to any server.

In-app purchases and subscriptions

DeRot Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple's handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

To verify your subscription status across devices and reinstalls, we use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated on your device along with purchase and transaction details from Apple (such as product ID, transaction ID, purchase date, and basic device metadata like iOS version, app version, and country). This information is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, and it is used solely to determine whether you have an active subscription. RevenueCat's handling of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

DeRot does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or general tracking SDKs.

The only third-party service we use is RevenueCat, solely for subscription validation, as described in the section above. No other third parties have access to any data from the app.

Children's privacy

DeRot does not collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change our data practices in a meaningful way, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. We will never introduce data collection without updating this policy first.
