Tap My Apps on the home screen and select the apps that wind you up. Then go to Settings → Calm reset and turn on “Breathe after scrolling.” That's it. DeRot will guide you through a reset at the right moment.

DeRot uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls) to gently pause the apps you've selected. After you've been scrolling for a while, the app pauses and asks you to complete a quick reset. Once you're done, the pause lifts and you're back to scrolling.

The system works even if DeRot isn't running in the background. Screen Time keeps the pause armed for you.

DeRot quietly monitors how long you've been in your selected apps. After about a minute you'll get a heads-up that a reset is on the way. Once you hit the threshold (10 minutes by default, customisable with Pro), DeRot pauses the app and guides you through a quick reset. Everything happens on-device. Nothing is transmitted.

Calm (4-6): a slightly longer exhale than inhale, which is what tips your body into relaxation. No breath-holding, so it's an easy default for everyday resets.

Box Breathing (4-4-4-4): equal inhale, hold, exhale, hold. Structured and steadying, good for feeling centered and focused.

4-7-8: a long exhale with a hold. Great for winding down or before sleep.
